It’s hard to describe the year 2020. This picture catches some of what was going on.

It started like any other year. On March 5th I was scheduled to have an ablation, a procedure that cauterizes the part of the heart that is getting the wrong electrical impulse to control the atrial fibrillation attacks I had been having. The procedure was going to be done at a hospital in Santa Clara.

Then, sometime in January, we started hearing of a virus that was spreading in China. By February we had more details. It was extremely contagious, people were getting very sick and dying and it had started spreading to other parts of the world. It was named Covid19. At the end of February it was already in the United States and there were a couple of dozen cases in Santa Clara. I was a bit concerned but little did we know then how bad it would really get.

My procedure went well and after an overnight stay we came back home.
